We incorporate solid business practices with skill and compassion to provide superior service, expedite healing, and enhance the quality of life for patients recovering in skilled nursing facilities.Facility Location: 4701 E Huron St. Ann Arbor, MI 48105Schedule: Full-Time (Tuesday-Saturday) OR (Sunday-Thursday)General Summary:Provides occupational therapy treatment to patients according to the established treatment plan under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist. Contributes to the development, implementation of, and progression of patient treatment and modifies treatment as necessary. Participates in patent care conferences and program development. Completes appropriate documentation and adheres to policies, procedures and current standards of clinical practice.Role Summary:Provides occupational therapy treatments consistent with the professional and ethical standards of the A.O.T.A. for the Occupational Therapist AssistantProvides documentation to maintain quality of the medical record as it relates to accuracy, continuity of care and reimbursement guidelinesCoordinates with other disciplines for effective total patient careAssures delivery of quality careParticipates in the discharge planning process to insure continued patient care as needed and provide patient and family instructionPerforms all the duties and responsibilities of an OTAContributes to a team philosophy within the department and the company and promotes the same among staffDelegates work assignments, responsibilities, and patients to support staff as neededSupervises students and volunteersRepresents the Occupational Therapy Department to family, visitors, and personnel and attends care conferences as requestedEffectively communicates with department staff, company personnel, patients and families and department head.Secures equipment for patients and department supplies as needed.Perform other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:Successful completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant programLicensure as required by the State of MichiganSkills and Abilities:Ability to exercise professional judgement and initiative when analyzing problems and recommending solutions.Initiative and flexibility in the work environment.Ability to react effectively to the needs of patients and their families.Physical Ability to bend, position, transfer and lift patients weighing from 80 pounds to over 300 pounds, without restriction, utilizing lifting devices clinically recommended for the patient.Employee Benefits:Competitive Pay/PTO PackageAffordable Medical coverage through Blue Cross Blue Shield MI401k Eligibility & matching after 3 months of serviceHoliday PayReimbursement for Professional Licensure and CEU Credits #J-18808-Ljbffr
